DESCRIPTION
WHAT IS A VECTOR FOIL
It is a proprietary Futures foil with a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, increasing surface area, water attachment, and lift.
WHAT IS A 3/2
3/2 complements the Vector with an extra 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees of toe, introducing a twist to the foil for improved planning angles in sharp turns, creating lift and hold deeper into the maneuver.
PERFORMANCE BENEFITS OF THE VECTOR 3/2
The Vector 3/2 is a Speed Generating fin, maximizing water attachment over multiple planing surfaces, resulting in lift and reduced drag. The concave surface and twist in the upper half provide a unique grip and projection sensation, delivering fluid speed generation in smaller waves and powerful connection and increased speed in larger surf, resulting in faster and improved turns.
Helps connect turns while generating and maintaining speed with a more predictable engaged feel.
BENEFITS OF THE SCIMITAR TIP
Originally developed in 2006, The Scimitar Tip is flattened edge at the fin's trailing end, tightens the turn arc by reducing the template's length. This complements the 3/2 foil's lift and speed design, enhancing the feeling of release from turns while maximizing the foil properties throughout the fin's template.
The Alpha line is constructed with recycled fishing combined with our C6 air-infused carbon. The 5-fin set is designed to be ridden as either a Thruster or Quad set-up, packaged together for more versatility throughout your quiver.

I used to love the old vector fins in the early 2000s, but never really knew if they were a gimmick or what. I've ridden standard tech flex or honeycomb AM2 since about 2010 in 90% of my boards. A few years ago I borrowed a friend's board with the FCS scrimitar fins and was impressed on how they rode, but I will never in a million years ever order or buy a board with FCS plugs. When Futures came out with these new vector fins I was interested, especially after riding the same template for 15 years.
I've tried these fins in several boards and they are night and day faster both in down the line speed, drive through turns and rail to rail. I surf pretty mediocre San Diego surf daily, I like mushy closeouts with minimal crowd and these fins allow me to get a few more turns and smiles in before work. When the waves are overhead and have punch I'll prefer a standard template for some more stability.
I like the quad set up the best
The Vector's as a quad setup made my magic board even better. They bring so much more life to an already good board of mine. Especially in the snappy beachbreaks.
The lift and control these fins provide is crazy!
