I had the original Solus set with this center fin and it was my all time favorite set for average East Coast beach break waves. It was smooth and buttery on transitions from rail to rail, drivey but with great balance of hold and release. It was the set you didn’t even think about. I bought the new set a couple years ago and liked it but was bummed this center fin wasn’t a part of the equation even though it’s still a great set. Having this center fin in addition is game changer. Thanks for bringing it back. The shape just works with the foils and gives a freeness where I don’t even think about the fins, which is exactly what I want. Reminds me of when Curren was hacking away at his center fin with a hacksaw in Indo on a boat trip years ago with Machado because he wanted a certain feel on the wave. I doubt he designed this set but it wouldn’t surprise me if he had. You guys changed thruster sets with this set and the v-foil hatchet set. Bring em all back!
