Keel
DESCRIPTION
The Mikey February signature keel fin is designed to enhance performance on fish style boards. We preserved the traditional characteristics of a keel fin, such as hold and down-the-line drive, all while adding a looser, more responsive feel when the board is put on rail. We maintained the base length, area, and tip rake to retain the keel’s essence, but reduced the area through the center of the fin to increase responsiveness, just as Mikey envisioned. Constructed from solid fiberglass, this set features inverted colorways between the left and right fins. This fin set performs exceptionally well across a wide range of traditional fish boards.

I just got these to contrast the Britt Merrick Twin set. Here's what I've noticed so far.
I like these in smaller better shaped, steeper waves. It feels like the board is less stable and these are harder to ride than the BMT's. The skinnier tips allow the board to rock rail to rail with much less pressure than the BMT's. There is a large difference in board stability, even on the pop up.
You can wrap it in the pocket very quickly, and throw in quick pumps where ever you want, it takes very fine and quick reactions to ride these fins. You can blow the fins out the top which feels impossible on the BMT's.
You cannot lean into the tip very hard without falling over. The BMT's feel like a thruster off the bottom, where you can just unload your turn into a hard squat and bury the rail and push, loading up your projection towards the shoulder.
This fin requires fine, nuanced balance, whereas my other set gives you something to lean against at the tip.
They didn’t make me surf like Mikey February. I’ll take a star off to make myself feel better.
Other than that they’re fine. Look good, surf well on the twin fin. The limiting factor is me, not the fins.
Got these for my Feb’s Fish. All stoke no joke. These fins work when it’s knee high and when it’s overhead but if you saw Mikey Feb’s CI edit you probly knew that already. Can’t miss with a set of future fins! Also shipping is exceptional quick. Thank you for another great set of fins!
Can you also make them in less flashy fish lurey colors? Would like a black and white colorway
Saweeeet!!!
