The cut outs in the flange create an even stronger bond to the skin of the board by allowing the resin to weave itself between the surfboard and fiberglass skin.
Decided last minute to build a 5 fin instead of a thruster. The fin boxes came in promptly within a few days which allowed me to install them and surf within a few days. Thanks guys
