Progression meets power and poise, Jack Freestone’s surfing is a mixture of everything we like.
Growing up surfing Snapper Rocks and Duranbah, Jack Freestone had the likes of multiple world champions as muses. Every time we watch Jack surf we can see their influence as he is an electric blend of the environment he’s grown up in.

His athletic build makes him formidable on rail but Jack be nimble. Jack be quick! Combining precision with power and a mixed bag of spins, grabs, and technical aerials, Jack’s surfing never looks repetitive. His unique approach suits the judging criteria of the world championship tour all the while fulfilling free surfing segments with a fresh breath of spontaneity. His combinations are seamless and fluid, linking maneuvers together in the same fashion a street skater completes a line. We believe Jack is the future, and we are committed to helping him re-write what’s possible above the lip.
Jack’s rise to the big leagues was bound to happen. His two World Junior Championships were hardly subtle and now that he’s getting cozy surfing against the best in the world, his performances are ushering in a new standard for competition. No longer impressed by one big maneuver, WSL judges want variety and Jack’s surfing represents the entire spectrum of performance.
Currently, Jack has been sampling a range of fins, in his own signature template. From Fiberglass to Techflex to Generation Series, Jack sees a place for all of them. Jack’s game is well rounded, he can light up any lineup no matter the conditions and his fin will embody his versatility.
