Jordy Smith surfs with a confident swagger that we can’t get enough of.

Whether he’s filming a free-surfing segment or competing on the world tour, Jordy captivates us with his unique lines, powerful arcs, and ankle crushing aerials.

Standing at 6 foot 3 inches and weighing in at 190 pounds, surfers of Jordy’s stature are often confined to the open wave face. But Jordy is an agile giant, and while very few can match his fluency on rail, even less can launch to the amplitudes that he’s capable of.

He’s broken the internet twice for stomping massive airs.

The first was a seamless rodeo flip in the Mentewais and the second was possibly the highest air ever recorded; an over rotated alley-oop he landed at North Point in Western Australia.

Jordy prefers balanced fins with a Ride Number, and for the most part he rides the large Al Merrick fins in Honeycomb, which suits his personal taste allowing Jordy to flow from maneuver to maneuver.

Jordy Smith’s unlikely combination of power and progression make him a key component in testing our larger templates. Every team needs a big fella and luckily for us, Jordy Smith is our guy.
