DESCRIPTION
The Controller Quad is a split keel setup designed specifically for use in wide tail fish designs. The honeycomb & bamboo construction, V2-Foil and xtra-large surface area are great for generating speed and maintaining it through a sequence of turns. With the upright template of the quad rears, there is a skatey feel to the set that’s similar to a twin keel, but with more control.

I’m 192 lbs with a 7’ fish that came with F8s. It felt mushy and slow. I was skeptical about fins helping. After switching to controller quads it’s like an entirely different board. It maintains a lot more speed and is a ton more responsive too. I feel like my board just goes wherever I want it too. Maybe my board was too big or I’m too heavy for the F8s? I don’t know. What I do know is that it’s awesome now.
I had the Legacy Quad F6 fins installed in my 6'6" Bing Quad Fish until a few days ago. These are fine fins, but they're not intended for surfers over 195 pounds. I weigh 210, and I needed more surface area to push against. So I plugged the Controller Quad set into my board and took it out for a surf yesterday. The board felt like a completely different animal! It was faster with much more hold than the old fin set provided. It seems to accelerate through the turns now, which I love. I'll keep the Controller Quads in my board ... at least until I lose some weight.
If you need some extra speed in small waves this is the set for you. This set gives you the best balance of hold, drive and release in small waves than any other quad set designed for fishy boards and wide tailed grovelers.
