Jordy finally gets his Bell! With a heavy fog delay in the morning no one knew what to expect for the day, but after the fog broke the conditions turned on; with slight offshore winds and a 6-10 foot swell on tap, all remaining competitors were amping. The man perfectly fit for these conditions was Jordy Smith, with his signature hacks, unforgiving power, and focused determination he was unstoppable. After his runner-up finish to Matt Wilkinson in the 2016 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, Jordy came back with sweet revenge taking down all-star rookie Ezekiel Lau in the semi-final, to finally taking the win over the in form Caio Ibelli in the final with a 18.90 heat total. This result jumps Jordy to the number 2 spot in the Jeep Leaderboard. Congratulations Jordy!
